NAMB, Freedom Mortgage Wholesale Launch First Certified Education Program

WASHINGTON – MAY 9, 2023 – The National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB), voice of the mortgage industry representing the interests of mortgage brokers and home buyers since 1973, and Freedom Mortgage Wholesale, a division of Freedom Mortgage, one of the largest full-service independent mortgage companies and a top Veterans Affairs (VA) and Federal Housing Administration (FHA) lender in the U.S., today launched an FHA mortgage loan certification program for mortgage brokers.

This unique partnership fulfills an industry need by providing mortgage brokers with detailed information to better understand the various FHA loan solutions available to their borrowers.

Starting in summer 2023, NAMB and Freedom Mortgage Wholesale will conduct a series of NAMB certified FHA loan courses. The Certified FHA Mortgage Professional or CFMP course is designed to empower mortgage brokers across the U.S. with access to in-depth information about FHA loans. The purpose of this course is to equip mortgage brokers with the knowledge to offer more loan options to help the underserved and those with limited downpayment have access to attain homeownership.

The Certified FHA Mortgage Professional (CFMP) is an eight-hour course, offered in one day, which provides mortgage brokers with an in-depth dive into FHA insured loans and the various qualifications to match borrowers with the best loan. Immediately following the course, a test will be given, and upon passing, attendees will be presented with a certification and all the course materials.
